I started using when I was 15. First it started with pot. Then I came to love cocaine. At 16 I entered into treatment for a year at a boarding school. Shortly after leaving this program I was quick to use again. I began doing heroin and lots of crack. I founds self moving to various places in hopes to start fresh and catch a break. I found myself doing meth and living in a shack outside a trailer. My parents had no idea what they could do for me anymore at this point. I had one last chance to go to treatment. I didn't complete it and became homeless. Sleeping behind buildings, on park benches, eating at the soup kitchen. I lived this way for eight months, till I got arrested and spent a month in jail. There I found a higher power and asked to go to one more treatment centre for three months. I worked hard and stayed strong and now I have 120 days sober. With the help of a sponsor and good support, and not enabling me, my family and I are now starting to rebuild what I had lost.
