Addiction Sneaks up on you

I began using drugs recreationally as a high school student.  For most of my life I thought I had it "under control" which is what many people tell themselves.

Looking back, I realize how much time I wasted not being there for the ones that love me.  My train ended when I started using heroin.  This drug replaces all that you hold dear in your life, and afterwards nothing else seems to matter.

It took a loving family and a year of therapy for me to recover my life.

I urge you to never make the mistake of using is a symptom of a larger problem.  Enjoy the small things in life and love your family.
