I started drinking at 13. One complete bottle of Jack Daniel's . COMPLETE That was the beginning. I am 58 years old and I finally touched bottom. 22 years ago I found out I was an alcoholic and drug addict. I did not admit to this and lost my marriage, 4 children, 2 grandchildren. Besides, my health was affected and I gave up. I went to a rehab clinic and currently I am a proud member of AA. Today I know I have an illness. I know I am not alone. I have a higher power, friends and my companion in life who I adore. I am fortunate and privileged. Everyday I go to my AA meeting . I am grateful for all and for nothing.
